Welcome to COMMON PROJECT - A creative studio where art, community and coastal culture come together. Located in the heart of Solana Beach’s Design District on Cedros Ave in North County San Diego, California.
We’re on a mission to foster creativity, spark joy, celebrate slow made, inspire artistic fulfillment and provide a dose of creative care.
Choose from a collection of curated, thoughtfully sourced do-it-yourself art projects or join an instructional workshop and experience the power of making!
Creative Projects
Choose from selection of artisanal projects that rotate seasonally, utilize natural materials and are intended to be equally useful as enjoyable to make. Examples include watercoloring, block printing, ceramics and more!
Each project includes materials, access to studio tools and a step by step guide with inspiration to get your creative energy flowing. Projects take 30 minutes to two hours and are designed as a do-it-yourself, no-pressure, creative enrichment experience. While our staff will be on hand to support you, dedicated instruction is not included (for instructional opportunities, please see our class + workshop schedule).
Reservations are recommended but we welcome walk-ins as space provides.
ART CLASSES + WORKSHOPS
Every Thursday, we host an instructional art class or creative workshop at 4:00 PM, with space for up to 12 participants per session. These outdoor group experiences begin with a guided demonstration and include all the tools, materials, and inspiration you need to bring your vision to life.
